Argus is built by Universal Cores. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with your information. The short version: nothing leaves your phone.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Argus has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising SDK and no crash reporting service. We never see your name, your balances, your movements or anything else you type into the app.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you create lives in a local database on your phone: your name and profile photo, your accounts and their currencies, every income, expense and saving you record, your goals, your guardian level, XP, streaks and achievements, and your settings such as theme and language. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
3. Internet access
The published Android build declares no internet permission at all. The app is technically unable to make a network request, which is the strongest guarantee we can offer that your data cannot leave the device.
4. Photos you choose
If you set a profile picture, Argus copies the image you picked into its own private storage so it survives the system clearing caches. The photo is never uploaded and is deleted when you replace it, remove it or uninstall the app. On Android 13 and later the system photo picker is used, so Argus only ever sees the single image you select — it has no access to the rest of your gallery.
5. Home screen widgets
The Argus widgets read the same local data to draw what you see on your home screen. The numbers and charts are prepared by the app and handed to the Android widget system on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
6. Children
Argus is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.
7. Third parties
There are no third-party services inside the app: no ads, no trackers, no social logins and no payment processors. If you install Argus from Google Play, Google's own policy covers the download itself, which is outside our control.
8. Deleting your data
Erase all data from the profile screen wipes your movements, goals and progress inside the app. Uninstalling Argus removes everything for good. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing we could restore.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published on this page with a fresh date above. Any change that affects what the app does would also arrive as an app update.
