Argus asks for one thing on first run: what to call you, and which currency you use. That is the whole setup.

Is Argus free?

Yes. Argus is completely free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. There is nothing to buy inside the app.

Does it connect to my bank?

No, and it never will. The release build declares no internet permission at all. You record your own movements, which is what keeps it completely private.

How many accounts can I have?

Up to five. Each one can be a regular account, a credit card, a debit card or a crypto account, and each keeps its own movements, goals, statistics and currency.

Is my data collected?

No. Argus collects nothing at all. Everything you record is stored only on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

What are guardian levels?

Every movement you log earns XP, and XP raises your guardian level up to one hundred. Daily streaks give bonus XP, and milestones unlock any of the sixteen achievements.

Which currencies are supported?

Ten currencies — US dollar, euro, pound, yen, Peruvian sol, Mexican, Colombian, Argentine and Chilean pesos and Brazilian real — plus six cryptocurrencies for crypto accounts. Each account has its own.

Can I back up or move my data?

Your data lives on the device only. Because nothing is uploaded anywhere, uninstalling the app removes it for good — so keep that in mind before switching phones.

Argus is an Android app, designed for phones in portrait, with light and dark themes and home screen widgets. It works offline on any reasonably modern Android device.
